Who am I?
My name is Gina and I love to write fiction. My first novel, Angels Strange and Beautiful, came out September 30, 2020.
I got my bachelor’s degree in English in 2018 and have worked various writing and library jobs since, but my dream is to become a full-time author.
What do I write?
My fascinations come in many forms and aren’t limited to a single genre. I’ll hear a certain phrase or see an evocative photograph and my wheels start turning. I often find myself returning to historical fiction, with another time and place providing a backdrop for a character-driven story.
I refuse to be pigeonholed into a single genre or subject, and I give myself full leave to be fascinated by anything. I believe the best fiction, even within a certain genre, always includes elements of other genres. For example, a thriller is far more excellent when the romances are touching and believable and the horror elements are perfectly at home.
In turn, I’d like to extend the reminder that you possess the same freedom, and I encourage you to exercise that freedom when browsing my work: if you do not like one story, feel free to abandon it, but I visit worlds many and various, so please do not judge any one story by its brethren. They are each unique, and I hope you can find one which resonates with you. If not, I hope you at least enjoy your traipse through my thoughts.
