When rising author Persephone suddenly stops writing and begins avoiding her stories, her characters must go after her into the real world. Tag, an unfinished protagonist, must join forces with the characters of her own story as well as a few they find along the way in order to track down their author so that their story doesn’t fall apart. Complicated by rivalries, unstable characterization, and the ever-shifting fog that keeps Persephone from being able to hear or see them, the journey leads Tag and her companions to wonder: will she ever write us again? And what is the ghostly figure which seems to dog her steps as she flees from her imaginary friends?
